We bought both our wood ceiling planks and faux wood beams from Tilton earlier this year. My wife wanted a beam look in the room and they were absolutely perfect. I recommend getting a sample kit to make a decision on the color and finish. The beams are pretty light, and the contractor seemed to install them fairly easily. We ended up choosing a color and finish that was not what we were originally thinking, but that we're very happy with.
The planks are excellent and were used on the ceiling where they are absolutely beautiful. The tongue and groove system was very easy for our contractor to install and he commented about how well they fit together. Also, there was very little waste so we had enough left over to use on a small feature wall in the adjacent room which ties everything together. The natural color is truly natural and I’m enjoying the ceiling tremendously.
After we finished, my contractor looked at it and lamented that he should have done something like it in his place. We ended up passing the samples on to him, just in case another of his customers would like the same look, and he prominently featured them on his website. You may see pictures of ours on the Tilton website too.

We absolutely love how the ceiling came out in our beach cottage living room. The wood is absolutely beautiful and with the extra long boards Tilton provided, we were able to put it in without any seams. And how nice it was not to have to put a finish on it--it was already done!
