In designing the interior of Sam's Tavern -- a new sports bar in the historic San Francisco Mining Exchange building -- our goal was to create a classic atmosphere that enhanced the long, narrow space. We considered a variety of ceiling tiles and coffers, and after evaluating the costs, installation requirements, and design constraints, we choose to work with Tilton Coffered Ceilings.

Jason was able to develop a coffer plan that worked around the ceiling's stair rake, and provided detailed plans to ensure the coffers met our design intent. Through Tilton, we also purchased coordinating moulding for the soffit and back bar.

When the installing contractor had questions, Jason answered them promptly and thoroughly. The finished product really enhances the bar's design. We appreciate Tilton's professionalism, patience, and expertise.

The Installation went very smooth, the initial setup took my contractor some time given the two sets of 2-story scaffolding, planks, and protecting the walnut floor with homosote fiber board.

Their laser level worked great and the lead master carpenter elected to hand nail the coffer cover boards, since he felt this would eliminate the risk of a nail going off center and damaging the inset crown. They were very impressed with the system; start to finish 3.5 days not including the additional crown throughout the 2nd floor areas and Foyer which added 1.5 days.

The ceiling painting will be completed by end of today…very particular painters (4 Days). Will send you pics when completed!!

I recently decided to install a coffered ceiling in my living room. The issue I had was the limited amount of space between the ceiling and top of door molding. I spent a significant amount of time searching the market for the right product to use and the only product to fit the bill was Tilton.  Tilton had a low profile product line that was easy to install and would really make a statement.

I measured my ceiling and contacted Tilton via their website.  The owner, Jason, immediately responded with specific questions on my selection and then sent a complete list of the components necessary for my project.

I ordered everything on the list and am very happy to report the amount of material was on point.  An assistant and I installed the coffered ceiling first and then painted the new components and the ceiling area in between.

My wife and I love it!  Our condo neighbors, family and friends can’t believe how great it looks.

Working with Jason and his company was quite easy and very professional.  It’s a great product at a very reasonable price. The end result looks like it cost much, much more.

My goal was to have the Kitchen and Dining Room project completed by June 12^th as I am having a graduation party for my daughter…………Well, we are done as of today and I can’t wait to hear all the comments when the remainder of my friends see the finished product. The comments to date were amazing and most people got a little kink in their neck looking at the Tilton ceiling for so long.

The ceiling installation was done in one day by two old guys and we are very happy with over all look.

Roy and myself are DIY guys who have been around the block couple of times (we were in the software business). We kept waiting for that time when you say "awe sh*t, now what do we do?"...but it never happened. It took us more time to carry the panels from the Garage to the Living Room then to install them.  Your system of modules is a great idea and we would recommend them to anyone.

You were SUPER helpful during the design, order process, service after the sale, and answered all my questions given this was my first DIY project like this. 

The ceiling was more complex than some (vaulted) which presented some challenges for a DIYer, but I'm very meticulous and could not be more pleased with the final project.  My helper and I did the project over a few weekends due to his limited availability.  I do think with proper planning, you can do this project in a weekend.

Everyone who comes to the house stands and stares upwards at the ceiling, it really made the Den a real showpiece for the home.

The Tilton Coffered Ceiling System is extremely easy to install compared to starting from scratch. I mounted my lighting in the beams because I was retrofitting the ceiling in my 100 year old home. The beam space worked well with providing ease of installation of the light fixtures.

Tilton's pre-fab system saved me about 50% in labor versus doing it myself. I would highly recommend this ceiling system. Well worth the money!
