Can these drywall anchors be removed if a fastening cleat needs to be repositioned?
Yes. The threaded anchors can be backed out of the drywall by reversing the installation direction, making repositioning easier than with anchors that permanently expand behind the wallboard. Any affected drywall should still be inspected before reinstalling an anchor or fastening cleat in that area.
