Mary Anne Sayler and Sarah Hubbard

In designing the interior of Sam’s Tavern — a new sports bar in the historic San Francisco Mining Exchange building — our goal was to create a classic atmosphere that enhanced the long, narrow space. We considered a variety of ceiling tiles and coffers, and after evaluating the costs, installation requirements, and design constraints, we choose to work with Tilton Coffered Ceilings.

Jason was able to develop a coffer plan that worked around the ceiling’s stair rake, and provided detailed plans to ensure the coffers met our design intent. Through Tilton, we also purchased coordinating moulding for the soffit and back bar.

When the installing contractor had questions, Jason answered them promptly and thoroughly. The finished product really enhances the bar’s design. We appreciate Tilton’s professionalism, patience, and expertise.
